Agroecology

Thanks to the main strategic partner of Pasos Samaritanos, families living in communities of poverty and extreme poverty in rural and semi-urban areas are growing their own food under the philosophy of making it chemical-free and are having great results in better nutrition in their homes. They are also building their own farms or corrals to raise laying hens and guinea fowl, which are intended to improve the nutrition of these families and, soon in the near future, they will be able to market their products and generate resources from their own homes or from their land.

Our beneficiaries understand very well that the success of their crops depends solely on their work, and I hope they will have good vegetable harvests. Thanks to the commitments that the beneficiaries put into practice, many of them soon see the fruits of their efforts with the early multiplication of their animals, which help them generate income for their families. This initiative has been able to be at the side of many single mothers who play the role of mother and father in order to raise their children.

When we started this project, we didn't realize how many single mothers there are in our communities, so it's been a double blessing to be able to support them with their farms and their crops.

In the reality of our country, many children also help their parents with the crops. We have only played a part in instilling in children the need to go to school every day. All of this with words of gentleness, so that we can all work together to achieve a better tomorrow with healthy eating.
